Every Child Deserves a Decent Childhood

Kids of Uganda is a small, personal organization in Sweden that supports families caring for extremely vulnerable or orphaned children in Uganda.

We help families create sources of income and secure their children’s basic needs by offering financial and social support, as well as advice and education.

We reach out to families who receive no other support, making a significant difference with modest means for some of the world’s most vulnerable children and their families.

Every contribution counts and is used efficiently; our team in Sweden works voluntarily to ensure your donations have the greatest impact. So far, we have supported 60 families, and with your help, we can make a difference for even more.

Our Way of Creating Change

  • Empowering Families: We work to ensure that children grow up with their loved ones, not in orphanages, by supporting families facing the greatest challenges.
  • Sustainability: We combat poverty and hunger, strengthen children’s rights, and provide families with tools to manage the impacts of climate change, such as drought and extreme rainfall.
  • Economic Independence: We help families create stable sources of income through entrepreneurship. This is combined with social support, counseling, and financial aid to create lasting change.
  • Locally Anchored Work: Our local social workers provide personal support tailored to local needs and culture.
  • Low Costs: With voluntary work in Sweden, we ensure your contributions have maximum impact. Our only costs in Sweden are for banking services and accounting software.
  • Personal Contact: With us, you’re not just a number. We maintain close and personal relationships with both donors and beneficiaries, fostering transparency.
